How this differs from ordinary outsourcing
Ordinary outsourcing takes a written specification at face value, and problems surface at acceptance. FDE puts engineers on site to define what actually needs solving, and validates critical flows with a prototype first.
When it fits
Projects where requirements are still unclear, processes cross departments, or deep integration with existing systems is required. Engineers are engaged by the week, with a minimum of one iteration cycle.
